Tizimín es una población ubicada a 180 km de la capital Mérida y a 52.2 km de Valladolid, este municipio es una población antigua, con antecedentes prehispánicos y con una presencia importante de la cultura Maya.

Tizimín es el Municipio más extenso del Estado de Yucatán, su nombre proviene del vocablo Tzimín que significa tapir o danta y Káh que significa lugar, es decir “Lugar del tapir”. Este municipio es principal exportador de carne bovina en el estado y cuenta con una de las fiestas regionales más importantes del sureste Mexicano en honor a los Tres Santos Reyes.

Tizimín is the largest Municipality in the State of Yucatán, it’s name comes from the word mayan Tsimín that means Tapir or Dante and Káh that means “place”, “Place of the Tapir” and it’s the principal exporter of beef in the state. 

It’s the principal exporter of beef in the state. It has one of the most important regional festival in the mexican south-west in honor Three Wise Men.

El parque Zoológico la Reina de ubica a 1 km del centro de Tizimín rumbo a Mérida. Es considerado el segundo zoológico más importante del estado y fue inaugurado por la  Reina Isabel II de Reino Unido el 3 de Marzo de 1975 en la actual instalación de este municipio.

Actividades: avistamiento de flora y fauna, trenecito, área de juego para niños, área de recreación familiar.

La Reina Zoo is located 1.1 km from the center of Tizimín, in the direction of Mérida, is considered the second zoo important in the state of Yucatán and it was built on his first visit of Queen Isabel II from United Kingdom since March 3, 1963.

Ubicada en el centro de la cabecera municipal y es el segundo santuario de todo el mundo dedicado a los Reyes magos en el municipio de Tizimín construida en 1745 (siglo XVII) y dedicada en 1760 donde se encuentran 3 imágenes talladas en madera de cedro con representación a Melchor, Gaspar y Baltazar. Tizimín es una población ubicada a 180 Km de la capital, Mérida, muy cercana a Valladolid. Is located in Tizimín downtown, and it is the second sanctuary in the world dedicated to the Reyes Magos in the municipality of Tizimín built in 1745 (17^th century) and dedicated in 1760 and there are 3 images carved in wood. Tizimín is located to 180 km (111.84 milles) from the capital of Mérida and 51 km (31.68 milles) from Valladolid. This municipality is an — with pre-Hispanic antecedents and with the presence of the mayan culture. Es una fuente de trabajo de familias que han dado el visto bueno de la gastronomía, idiomas y administración de servicios turísticos para brindar un mejor servicio a los visitantes, este es un parador turístico ubicado a 4.5 km de Tizimín rumbo a Rio lagartos. Es un cenote abierto de aguas de color verde esmeralda que a inicios de 2019 fue reconocida por la marca Paraíso Indígena del instituto Mexicano de Pueblos Indígenas de México. Al igual que cuenta con restaurante llamado Kiik.Ché para degustar platillos de la región.

Es un puerto pesquero y de actividades recreativas para disfrutar con la familia sea turismo de aventura o turismo ecológico, está situado al extremo noreste de la entidad casi en sus límites con el estado de Quintana Roo y con vista hacia el golfo de México, este mismo se encuentra situado dentro de la Reserva de la Biosfera Ría Lagartos. Su ubicación exacta está a 86 km del municipio de Tizimín.

Antiguamente el cuyo era principal puerto de exportación de palo de tinte, chicle y tintales.

Se ubica a 37 km de la cabecera municipal recorriendo la carretera que conduce a colonia Yucatán y con desviación hacia Tixcancal donde tiene una desviación en Terracería, y es uno de los pocos sitios Nororiente del estado que conserva su arquitectura en pie, con la que podría tenerse una ruta con Ek Balam y Chichen Itzá para el fortalecimiento del turismo cultural.

It is located 37 km (22.99 milles) from Tizimín, driving to Tixcancal road. It is one of the few northeasteastern places in the state that preserves the architecture. The town of Tixcancal it is located 44.7 Km (27.77 milles) from Tizimín, this community is the most populated from the city. Is a completely natural place for the interpretation of Cenotes, this community harbor about of 100 cenotes, but only 6 are in the town. San Manuel Km11 it is located 59 km (36.66 milles) from Tizimín passing through Colonia Yucatán to the Popolná road. You can visit the area to sighting local flora and fauna.

Es un cenote ubicado a 5 km de la comisaría de Chan Cenote perteneciente a Tizimín, Yucatán. En el cual tiene características a un cenote semi cerrado, este lugar es considerado la zona arqueológica número 18 abierto a los turistas en Yucatán. En su tiempo, la arquitectura de este templo daban la impresión de ser escamas de serpiente; esto se sabe por qué los relieves de piedra que el inmueble tiene en sus accesos, que semejan las fauces de un “monstruo de tierra”.

It is a cenote located 5 km (3.10 milles) from Chan cenote, municipality from Tizimín, Yucatán. It has characteristics of a semi-closed cenote and is located outdoors. In Chan cenote downtown it has a convent founded in 1576 and in 1579 the friars took over the administration of San Francisco de Chan Cenote and after it was built the church founded in 1582, it’s currently in ruins.
